I'm so glad you're here to find out how we can put prevention to work for you and your organization. My name is Shelly Mowrey and I am the Director of Prevention Works AZ. I first moved to Arizona in 1994 to accept a position as a newscast producer for 3TV. My first assignment when I arrived was to build the Good Evening Arizona newscast concept. Right away, the news program was a hit. It grew to become the #1 rated evening newscast and performed well year after year.

In 2001, I accepted a position at the Maricopa County Attorney's Office to create another important program, Drug Free Arizona, a substance abuse prevention and education organization. Over the past 12 years, I have developed prevention programs, media campaigns and professional development trainings that have been instrumental in reducing youth drug use in the state of Arizona.

My expertise is in creating effective prevention programs, grant writing, establishing and maintaining collaborative partners and developing targeted media campaigns.
